What is the purpose of the MSSA PTC?
The goals of the PTC are to foster a sense of community at MSSA and to raise funds to enrich the programs and enhance the school grounds. We do this by organizing community events and volunteer opportunities, fundraising, and providing support to the classrooms.
What are a few of the highlights of PTC activities this year?
We’re thrilled for our community to gather again this year. Events like the Fall Family Festival (October 14), Family Fun Run (March 4), and the Spring Gala (April 1) are organized by the PTC and give our families a chance to get to know one another outside of the classroom.
We’re especially excited to bring back the PTC Lecture Series this year. On October 6, acclaimed author Dr. Michele Borba will visit MSSA to speak about her book, Thrivers, which explores teachable traits that children can develop to help them flourish. This event is free and is accompanied by a three-part book club. Keep an eye on the weekly Dispatch email for information about these opportunities!
How can someone become involved in the PTC?
All MSSA parents and teachers are general members of the PTC; there is no fee associated with membership. Parents can become involved by attending PTC general meetings, volunteering for events, and supporting the PTC’s fundraising efforts.
We hope to see you at our Welcome Back Coffee on August 31 and the first PTC General Meeting on September 14. Both events will take place at MSSA after the morning drop-off and are free to attend. Join us!
