MSSA received a generous donation last week. The family graciously donated KF94 masks, hand sanitizer, and air purifiers. The KF94 masks offer added protection with a design contoured close to the face; it has a 94% filtration efficacy, can be worn more than once, and is disposable. It is a better option than a fabric mask and is being distributed to all staff members with the option to receive more from Nurse Kimberly.
The air purifiers are medical-grade HEPA filtration systems capable of filtering the air of a room up to 700 square feet. Working with or current ventilation system, the air purifiers add a second layer of filtration in each classroom. While we cannot guarantee all of our protocols and procedures are 100% effective, the addition of the masks and air purifiers help to deter the spread of COVID-19 and create a safer environment that allows all students to remain on campus.
