MSSA Community,
Please let me extend my sincere gratitude for your patience and flexibility in recent weeks. After the many challenges COVID-19 presents to the normal operations of school, MSSA remains committed to the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. We continue to closely monitor the health of our students and employees as concerns rise with the increase in positivity locally and on our own campus.
To that end, we want to review the resources we have available so that we can provide clear and accurate information.
We continually monitor the Guidance from the CDC as well as our local health department.

On campus we will continue to follow our mask policy, social distancing guidelines and cleaning protocols to include regular fogging of the classrooms and buildings. We also have improved ventilation in all classrooms with the use of HEPA filters and will continue to use our outdoor spaces as weather permits.
Additionally, we are providing testing for those who express symptoms or who have been exposed to an individual who tested positive as determined by our contact tracing.
Please continue to do daily health checks at home and fill out the wellness check every morning. If your child is showing symptoms of COVID-19, please keep them home until they have a negative test or have been evaluated by a physician and symptoms have resolved.
Please help us by continuing to report student vaccination status as well as reporting COVID-19 exposures, symptoms, and diagnosis.
We will continue to assess local conditions and any new developments surrounding COVID-19 that could result in additional changes to our policies and protocols. As we navigate these changes together, I want to thank you for your continued support and compliance with our health and safety policies, which are designed to ensure the health and safety of our school community and continue face-to-face learning on campus.
