At the start of the season, our third and fourth-grade team came in with an array of skills, strengths, and knowledge of the game. With such a range in talent, the focus was to form unity and give us the common goal of teamwork. Throughout the season, they have managed to further their strengths as players and have found their cohesion as a team. They work well together on the field and have a great sense of camaraderie – this is not surprising since some of these athletes have played together in their first and second-grade years and are also great friends off the field. Each child shows up ready to play hard each weekend and offers support to their teammates during games; their personalities really shine through in the way they approach the game. The team has come a long way since the start of the season and is currently sitting at 2 wins and 2 losses, with 2 weekends of games left to play. With this group, it has been fun to watch them come into their own and just be together on the field!
