Welcome to The Montessori School of San Antonio
Where children are guided to be passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens.
The Montessori School of San Antonio was founded as the Judson School – a Montessori Workshop in 1974. From there it has grown to include Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Montessori programs. The MSSA campus is a secure 24-acre parcel at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Rogers Ranch Parkway in far North-Central San Antonio with a surrounding environment designed specifically to meet the learning criteria set out by Dr. Maria Montessori.
As a parent, I can confidently say that I could not have chosen a better community for my children and our family unit. MSSA works hard to maintain a wonderful learning environment where grace and courtesy are always paramount. The education is challenging, yet manageable, and it allows students to have a very subtle transition when moving on to a higher grade-level."

Throwback Thursday 🔙
This week’s Throwback Thursday takes us back to 2004, twenty years ago, when the students of what was then Judson Montessori sealed a time capsule addressed to the students of 2024. Today, our sixth-graders had the unique opportunity to open it. Inside, they discovered planners, samples of schoolwork, a script for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a prediction that Arnold Schwarzenegger would be president, class photos, issues of Time Magazine, a political map of the United States, and even a VHS recording of the Winter Concert 🎬🎶. It was a joy to share this moment with our students and hear their thoughts and discussions about the artifacts 💭. Inspired by this experience, they’ve decided to create a new time capsule for the students of 2044 📦✨. A heartfelt thank you to the students of 2004—sharing a piece of your history with us has been a truly special experience 😊.

I was a 2004 student and I remember doing this! This is so cool! Social media didn't exist when we made it so I didn't expect to hear about it when it was opened. We really are living in the future!
This would have been Emma True, Miguel Flores, etc Middle school class. Caroline was in LE and Aubrey was in UE that year. I remember them working on this. 💝
Did you find anyone with a VHS player to play the tape?
