Passionate Learners
Independent Thinkers
Engaged Citizens

Now enrolling, see the Montessori difference! Montessori at MSSA is an education that is both nurturing and rigorous, respecting each student’s unique pace and style of learning while continually encouraging each child to reach their maximum potential.

Welcome to The Montessori School of San Antonio

Where children are guided to be passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens.

The Montessori School of San Antonio was founded as the Judson School – a Montessori Workshop in 1974. From there it has grown to include Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Montessori programs. The MSSA campus is a secure 24-acre parcel at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Rogers Ranch Parkway in far North-Central San Antonio with a surrounding environment designed specifically to meet the learning criteria set out by Dr. Maria Montessori.

As a parent, I can confidently say that I could not have chosen a better community for my children and our family unit. MSSA works hard to maintain a wonderful learning environment where grace and courtesy are always paramount. The education is challenging, yet manageable, and it allows students to have a very subtle transition when moving on to a higher grade-level."

Academics at MSSA

With an active and experiential learning environment, the academic program at The Montessori School of San Antonio lays the foundation for children to become lifelong learners. Smaller class sizes allow for accommodating individual students and their personal learning styles. MSSA values all student’s unique strengths and guides them to become strong community members.

👀📸Over the last two weeks, weve had a unique display of photos in our gallery hallway. Ms. Margo gathered childhood pictures of our staff to celebrate MSSAs 50th anniversary and the fact that we were once children. Students and staff have been challenged to identify the photos, some being quite obvious and others more difficult. 📸How many staff members can you identify?🤩 #mssa #themontessorischoolofsanantonio #mssaturns50
